2023 Colors of the Year

Every Fall, interior design experts and paint companies make their predictions and recommendations for the upcoming “colors of the year.” This year, a number of the bold, rich tones perfectly align with the Official City of Boulder Color Palette. Let’s take a deeper look at 2023’s colors of the year and compare them to their Boulder counterparts. 

      • Spanish Moss by Krylon has a rich connection to nature, which is certainly something we can relate to in Boulder. In fact, Boulder’s secondary color, Ponderosa Pine Green, is a close match to this Krylon shade. 
      • Raspberry Blush by Benjamin Moore and Canyon Ridge by Better Homes and Gardens are vibrant, earthy pink tones that can work as a neutral or accent color. These tones are much like what you’d find in a Southwestern canyon, and are comparable to Boulder’s secondary color of Sanitas Sunrise Pink.
      • Terra Rosa by Dunn-Edwards and Redend Point by Sherwin-Williams continue the earthy pink trend, but are a touch more muted. These shades are a close match if you favor Boulder’s Pearl Street Brick Red.
      • Blank Canvas by Behr is an effortlessly clean blank-slate color with icy undertones, much like  Boulder’s Sidewalk Silver.
      • Vining Ivy by Glidden is a versatile jewel tone that adds just a touch of green to Boulder’s beautiful Boulder Blue shade. 
      • Everglade Deck by Valspar is a rich, midnight blue that brings calmness and rejuvenation, much like Boulder’s Midnight Winter.
