The Budget And What To Expect

The interior design plan includes fixtures, finishes, colors, and accessories. Making these decisions early in the process allows for change. This means making adjustments to meet budget expectations before a client is set on one thing or realizes they don’t have to settle for the lower budget item. Our detailed planning process consists of three key budgeting aspects.

  1. Fixture & Finish Allowances
  2. Detailed Elevations Budget
  3. Furnishings Budget

Every detail is just as important as the next. We follow a clear and concise process for developing budgets before moving to the next step in a project, so there are no corners cut.

Interior Designer Fees

Kate Hartman Interiors includes a consultation fee for the initial consultation, budgeting, and follow-up meeting because there is so much that goes into completing a consultation, visualizing a design, selecting items, creating an itemized budget, and keeping consistent communication. Once we are in the design phase, clients pay an hourly rate in addition to paying for the furnishings of the project. So that nothing is unknown for each space, we tell you how many hours we anticipate are needed to complete the design selections. This number also helps with budget planning.

How to Choose An Interior Designer In Highlands

Just like no two projects are alike, no two Highlands interior designers are alike. So when it comes to choosing an interior design firm keep these things in mind:

First — Look to see previous projects they’ve completed. Decide if their style fits with yours or is a style you are interested in. View the Kate Hartman Interiors Portfolio. From pool houses to commercial office spaces, we’ve worked with clients to fulfill their interior design dreams.

Second — Take your budget into account. As previously stated, the budget is established from the start, and it’s crucial to grasp the initial expectation and determine if it aligns with your financial limitations. It’s vital to discover an interior designer whose style resonates with yours while also falling within your affordability range.

Third — Once you are ready to take the final step to hire an interior designer, connect with them early. You should expect to be placed on a waitlist. This solely depends on how many projects the interior designer is working on. During this wait time, however, there may be some planning to happen but the finalization may not happen for a few months.
