The Kate Hartman Interiors Style

Whether a project is a new construction build, a renovation, or just a furnishings project, Kate Hartman Interiors works to get to know every client and their unique style. You could say we have an eclectic mix of modern and vintage designs. We will assist with settling on a style if a client isn’t sure what their style is or what they like. We will also consider including heirloom accessories or sentimental pieces into a design to elevate the uniqueness of the design and welcoming feel.

Elevating Interior Designs in Boulder

Kate Hartman Interiors sets expectations at the forefront. Clients will know what to expect and be notified of any issues and solutions. Our budget-first mindset and clear process at the beginning set us out from other Boulder interior designers. No two projects are alike. We outline what we do, how we do it, how we will work with you, and what our terms and conditions are upfront before moving forward with budgeting and planning.

Budgeting Expectations

We create a complete interior design plan at the beginning including fixtures & finishes, colors, and even accessories. These decisions early on in the process allow for adjustments to meet budget expectations before a client can get their heart set on an out-of-budget item or realize there is not a need to settle with a more low-budget item. This process also allows for budget planning to complete your project.

Our detailed planning process consists of three key budgeting aspects.

    1. Fixture & Finish Allowances
    2. Detailed Elevations Budget
    3. Furnishings Budget

With every detail just as important as the next, we follow a clear and concise process for developing budgets before moving to the next step in a project. No corner is cut.

Interior Designer Fees

So much time goes into completing a consultation, visualizing a design, selecting items, creating an itemized budget, keeping consistent communication, and more.

Kate Hartman Interiors includes a consultation fee for the initial consultation, budgeting, and follow-up meeting. Once we move to the design phase, clients pay an hourly rate for our services (the time it takes to do the design and facilitate all the pieces from start to finish) in addition to paying for the furnishings. For each space, we also tell you how many hours we anticipate are needed to complete the design selections. This number also helps you plan your budget.

How To Choose A Boulder Interior Designer

Just like no two projects are alike, no two Boulder interior designers are alike. When choosing an interior design firm, there are a few things to keep in mind.

First — look to see what previous projects they’ve completed. Consider if their style fits with yours or is a style you are interested in.

View the Kate Hartman Interiors Portfolio. From pool houses to commercial office spaces, we’ve worked with clients to fulfill their interior design dreams.

Second — consider your budget. As mentioned, we set a budget expectation in the beginning and understand if that is out of a price range. It is important to find an interior designer you like that is also within your price range.

Third — once you are ready to hire an interior designer, contact early and expect to be placed on a waitlist. Depending on how many projects an interior design firm is currently working on, they may have a waitlist. During this waiting time, some planning might happen but the finalization may not happen for a few months.

Let’s talk about your interior design project.
