Elevating Interior Design In Denver

Kate Hartman Interiors sets expectations upfront. Clients will know what to expect throughout the entire process and be notified of any issues and solutions. Our budget-first mindset and transparent process sets us apart from other Denver, Colorado area interior design firms. We outline and cover what we do. Our terms and conditions are upfront and how we will work with you is presented clearly.

Design Budget Expectations

We create a complete interior design plan at the beginning. This plan includes:

  1. Fixtures & Finishes
  2. Colors
  3. Accessories

Making these decisions early in the process allows for adjustments to meet budget expectations before a client can get their heart set on an out-of-budget item or realize there is no need to settle for a lower-budget item. This process also allows for budget planning to complete your project. Our extremely detailed process consists of three key budgeting aspects: fixture & finishes allowances, detailed elevations budget, and furnishings budget. With all details equally important we follow a clear and concise process when it comes to developing a budget before moving to the next step of the project. There are no corners cut with us.

Kate Hartman Interiors Fees

There is so much time that goes into completing a consultation. We start with visualizing a design, selecting items, creating an itemized budget, keeping consistent communication, plus more. Kate Hartman Interiors includes a consultation fee for the initial consultation, budgeting, and follow-up meeting. Once in the design phase clients will pay an hourly rate for our services (defined as the time it takes to design and facilitate all of the pieces from start to finish) and pay for the furnishings. We will also tell you how many hours we anticipate to complete the design selections for each space. This number will help you with your budget planning.

How To Choose An Interior Designer

Just like no two projects are alike there are no two design firms that are alike. However, when choosing an interior designer, there are a few things to remember:

First, look at previous projects they’ve completed. Consider if their style fits with yours or if it’s a style you’re interested in having in your home. Some Downtown Boulder Interior designers may be modern, luxurious, or even farmhouse chic. Take a look at the Kate Hartman Interiors Portfolio. We have worked with clients to help them fulfill their interior design dreams, from pool houses to commercial office spaces.

Second, consider the budget. At Kate Hartman Interiors, as mentioned we set budget expectations upfront and understand if something is out of price range. Finding an interior designer you like who is also within your price range is essential.

Third, once you are ready to hire a designer, get in contact early. You should expect to be placed on a waitlist. Depending on how many projects an interior design firm is working on there may be a waitlist. During the wait time, there is some planning that might happen, but the finalization may not occur for a few months.

Let us know how we can help you with your next project.
